Starting Tuesday 28th September, we will be hosting a new weekly community group called, Make It, Mend It, at The Hive.
This super informal gathering is for anyone wanting to learn how to fix, mend, upcycle or repair items and objects.
It’s a new group so with time and your input it will evolve and grow into what our community needs and wants. We are being supported by the wonderful Sophie Watson from @theborrowShop and the artisan Louise Ludlam-Snook @upcycledinteriorsuk
Louise will be on hand to help you with your creative endeavours and there will be lots of opportunities to use our in-house sewing machines, glue guns, cutting mats and other free resources. Alternatively feel free to bring along any craft project and simply meet like mined people.
Over the next few months we will be creating a programme of talks and demonstrations – everything from how to wallpaper, to painting an old wardrobe. If you have a specific upcycling/mending request send us a message and we will see what we can do!
This is a FREE drop-in session.
