We are delighted that The Hive is one of the many venues across Birmingham that will be hosting the Shakespeare’s First Folio tour as part of the ‘Everything to Everybody’ project, which aims to bring Shakespeare back to the people of Birmingham. The first folio, published in 1623, was the first published collection of Shakespeare’s plays.

The Shakespeare Memorial Library in the Library of Birmingham is home to the first folio produced and published entirely for the people of Birmingham, for the public to use and share. The ‘Everything to Everybody’ project aims to celebrate the city’s connection with Shakespeare and recognise the importance, both local and national, of this amazing artefact.
