DESCENT by David Calcutt and Sarah Sayeed – WORLD PREMIERE About this
About this Event
In the aftermath of war, four characters embark on a mysterious journey through an old abandoned bunker. A mythical journey of “descent” and redemption…
They are haunted by visions, and ghosts of the past. The things they have done, the things they have gone through, the things they have seen.
Can they rebuild their lives?
Their journey ends in a strange encounter … and a dreamlike vision of the Earth reborn …
The production of Descent is a unique, haunting and immersive experience. It is visually stunning, combining drama, music, dance and film.
Don’t miss this extraordinary, unforgettable event!
It is set in the Lampworks, a former factory building in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The audience will move around the space, following the characters on their “journey” through different locations.
The performance lasts approximately one hour. On most days, there are two performances, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is an additional performance at 11.30am. Click on “Select a Date” to see the full schedule.
