Sad Café, one of the great classic English rock bands of the 70s and 80s have reformed due to public demand to deliver a show with all the hits and fan favourites.
Led by long time bassist Des Tong, the band features vocalist Barry James Thomas, Dave Day lead guitar/vocals, Matt Steele keyboards, Neil Shaw-Hulme, sax/vocals and Steve Gibson on drums.
This is the band that brought you the great Everyday Hurts (#3 on the UK charts), My Oh My, Strange Little Girl, Black Rose and I’m in Love Again along with the big U.S. hits La-Di-Da and Run Home Girl.
Always a challenge to replace their late lead singer Paul Young (also Mike and the Mechanics), who tragically died in 2000, they have finally found the perfect voice in Barry James Thomas, and now press on to a new era with a show which brings together the great hits of the past with the matured and excellent musicianship of the present.
Sad Café fans have warmly and enthusiastically embraced the new line up as the shows continue to bring new and existing fans together to share their love for this incredible band and their music.
Restaurant & bars open from 6pm. Show begins at 9pm
Show Ticket Price – £15. EARLY BIRD TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW at ONLY £10

Nicolas Horvath
Nicolas Horvath, a Monaco-trained pianist, secured a 3-year scholarship from the Princess Grace Foundation at 16, mentored by conductor Lawrence Foster. Influenced by renowned pianists like Gelber and Frémy, he’s a specialist in Liszt, known for rediscovering forgotten composers. Horvath collaborates globally, commissioning works from notable composers like Riley, Cosma, and Lucier.
His remarkable feats include a 12-hour non-stop performance of Philip Glass, the complete Klavierstücke by Stockhausen, and a crowd-attracting Satie’s piano works at Philharmonie de Paris. Passionate about contemporary music, Horvath stands out as a bold explorer and performer.

Critically acclaimed for his vocal finesse, charm and charisma, you can be excused for believing James McAllister really is the “Chairman of the Board”, regularly performing with the likes of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The Rat Pack Live!, BBC Big Band winners Fat Chops and many more.
Tonight’s show is the brainchild of jazz pianist, Edgar Macías. The project is inspired by Sinatra’s rare recordings with a small band from his Radio Days show, “To Be Perfectly Frank”, broadcast in the early ‘fifties where he performed a 15 min show live – twice a week – for two years.
Other inspirations for Edgar include Sinatra’s collaboration with the Red Norvo Sextet during a tour in Australia in ’59, the Paris Concert with Sextet, live in ’62, the saloon songs with his pianist Bill Miller, and later on, in ’67, the collaboration with the Brazilian composer & singer/guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim, singing bosa nova.
Edgar Macías has also adapted some well-known Big Band arrangements of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ hits by the likes of Nelson Riddle, Count Basie, Quincy Jones, and Don Costa to play in the small combo setting
This show is one not to be missed as Edgar Macías Quartet presents An Evening of Sinatra with James McAllister alongside Chris Bowden, on flute, alto & tenor sax, Bill Colman on bass, Miles Levin on drums, and, of course, Edgar Macías on piano.
Restaurant & bars opens at 6pm.
Dinner & Show Only £40 – or £50 for a Balcony Table.

Following the 2021 sell-out show, Mica Paris returns to the Jam House with her hits including ’My One Temptation’, ‘Breathe Life Into Me’ and ‘Where Is The Love?’.
Mica made an immediate impact on the UK music scene in 1988 when she released her debut, the platinum-selling ‘So Good’ album. She followed with more worldwide hit albums and singles including ‘Black Angel’, ‘Stay’ and ‘Carefree’, and has collaborated with many respected artists such as Prince and Jools Holland leading to her to being considered one of the UK’s most respected female singers with the terrific range, power, and sheer soulfulness of her voice.
Her most recent album “Gospel” was released to critical acclaim and #1 in the UK R&B Album charts. The album features an original song “The Struggle”, telling the story of Mica’s meeting with Gladys Knight, as well as spellbinding versions of Rag ‘N’ Bone Man’s “Human”; John Newton’s hymn “Amazing Grace”; Foreigner’s “I Want To Know What Love Is”; and U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”.
Mica was awarded an MBE in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to music, entertainment and charity.

The Actress Blues club presents:
Ceri Justice is a singer-songwriter from the West Midlands
She started penning songs when she was a schoolgirl and daydreamed about becoming a singer-songwriter
A keen collector of music and all things related, TV music programmes only fuelled this ambition as did the influence of many well-known artists, Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Roxy Music, Steve Harley, Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, and many more fired her imagination and desire to write and record her own material
As her record collection grew, so did her love of music and the written word, covering musical genres of pop to punk, country, rock and more besides.
Ceri was never afraid to buck trends and was inspired to try and create a unique sound, within a solid framework of Americana, Blues and Country.
Her sound is underscored by her Irish background with clear Celtic undertones and the title track on her, soon to be released, second album “Walk In Shadow” clearly references this Irish heritage.
Her music continues to gain a global following. As Ceri says “Writing these songs brings its own reward, it is a labour of love”.
Ceri’s ambition was also fuelled by successfully competing in a big nationwide Singer-Songwriter Competition, where Ceri, with no previous musical experience, beat thousands of entries to win a place in the “not quite final” line-up and a live performance in front of some big music industry names, attracting some interest. Not bad considering that competition was held at the famous Marquee Club in London.
Fast forward to “right now” and Ceri sings with her own band, Ceri Justice & The Jury at local gigs in and around Birmingham

St Paul’s are excited to welcome TØKIO M¥ERS as part of his tour ‘Awake but Dreaming’.
Please click here https://www.axs.com/uk/events/527323/tokio-myers-tickets for tickets and more information.
TØKIO M¥ERS is proud to announce his DEBUT solo classical piano tour, ‘Awake but Dreaming’
commencing May 2024 in the UK. Tour dates below.
Tøkio will be performing his new solo classical album featuring an array of beautiful and reflective pieces
of original music inspired by the birth of his first daughter. Tokio will also include stripped back
arrangements of his most popular works; released & unreleased.
For the first time ever, Tøkio will be adding selections of traditional classical music to this tour –
showcasing not only his technical prowess, but also inviting you to experience which artists inspired &
influenced the TØKIO M¥ERS we all love and know today.
“If I hadn’t gone to dark places in life and explored as much as possible the extremities of music, then I
could’ve never understood how beautiful & perfect simple music is – I’ve learnt after all these years that
my training and experimenting were essential, in order for me to finally understand, appreciate, and truly
feel how to play the most simplest of pieces – it feels like an awakening.”, says Tøkio.
ABOUT TOKIO MYERS:
– After capturing the nation as Winner of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, TØKIO M¥ERS was dubbed a ‘Rising
Star’ by Simon Cowell. His sense of originality and musicianship garnered immense praise from both the
judges and public, subsequently earning him a record deal with Syco Entertainment.
– Tokio went on to reach top 5 status in the UK official album charts with his debut cinematic album ‘Our
Generation’, the only pianist ever to achieve this feat.
– The album went gold, selling over 100,000 copies in the UK alone.
– He has become one of the most innovative artists of today, creating his own unique artistic lane. His
alchemist approach to writing and performing classical & contemporary music is what sets Tøkio apart
from his peers. Drawing on his life experiences, Tokio and turns them into cleverly constructed
compositions, which seamlessly integrates music from the past and present.
Since his success, Tøkio has performed sold out UK and Ireland Tours in the UK & Ireland including the
iconic London ‘Printworks’ venue for his ‘Our Generation’ tour.
He has performed twice at the London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall, supported by none other than the
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for Classic FM Live.
As a Classic Brit Award Winner for PPL’s Breakthrough ‘Artist of the Year’ he has co-produced the ‘Artists
for Grenfell’ charity single in support of The London Community Foundation. He has performed to a
sellout audience at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, and performed at the Fifa Fan Festival for the World
Cup in Qatar 2022 with 60,000 attendees in total.
More recently he has received critical acclaim, collaborating with Jaeger Le Coultre as part of the ‘Made
of Makers’ programme – which led to Tøkio featuring in Vogue Hong Kong, GQ Japan, New York Times,
Culture L.A, as well as seeing him perform in Shanghai China, Los Angeles U.S, & London U.K.
Lastly, it gives us great pleasure to announce that TØKIO M¥ERS will also be releasing a series of
production albums, “a trilogy” Tøkio says, towards the end of 2024 into 2025 – these albums will feature
piano, gospel choir, orchestra and more as a continuation from his debut album ‘Our Generation’.

Dizzy Lizzy are a fantastic live tribute act, dedicated to one of Rock’s all-time legends ‘Phil Lynott’ & THIN LIZZY. Established in 1994, their sound & set-list faithfully recreate that trademark Lizzy sound.
Philomena Lynott stated that Dizzy Lizzy are ‘the closest to playing my sons music’ A this sentiment has ecohed throughout the years. Dizzy Lizzy do indeed have an amazing sound and resemblance to the classic 70s & 80s rock band. They will take you back in time to relive that magical musical era with a superb blend of classic foot stomping rock anthems and emotive rock ballads inc The Boys Are Back In Town, Whiskey In the Jar, Emerald, Black Rose, Rosalie, Sarah, Still In Love With You. Many have acknowledged Philomena’s statement to be true, Dizzy Lizzy are the closest and most convincing tribute to the real thing.
They have also performed and toured with the original Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell. Eric Bell’s reaction on first seeing the band…’I could only watch three numbers owing to the emotions. The resemblance to Phil and the mannerisms and playing, it was spooky – it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck…’ They can also be heard on the documentary CD ‘I am just a cowboy’. Released in the year 2000.
Although based in the Midlands, Dizzy Lizzy tour extensively throughout the UK, perform in Europe & have performed as far afield as Los Angeles and Dubai.
