Our popular in-house cheese and whisky pairing evening. A night of three stunning whiskies matched beautifully to a trio of artisan cheeses.
Event Details
The Cheese Board is a casual evening tasting at your table, we’ll always choose a trio of whiskies based on their cask finish/age/unique charater or regional differences and match them with three cheeses from Anderson and Hill in the Great Western Arcade.
This is a monthly tasting and the line up will change each month. This is suitable for both those new to tasting whisky and those who already have a taste for it!
You’ll be seated at your own table (please let us know if you are attending with a separate ticket holder if not buying together by emailing renata@grainandglass.co). It is a more casual affair however our resident experts will be guiding the tasting and on hand to answer any questions you might have.
If you wish to stay on for drinks after the tasting please let us know and we’ll extend your duration at the table.
Tickets are £15 (with 10% off for members)

Event Details
A Speyside single malt Scotch whisky as intriguing and extraordinary as Benriach could not have come to be without a unique whisky making heritage, dating from 1898, when founder John Duff built his distillery.
Ruggedly beautiful, Benriach stands on the site of the old Riach farm in north Speyside, drawing water from a mineral-rich aquifer, deep beneath the distillery. Thanks to a long-standing tradition of distilling three styles of whisky; classic unpeated, Highland peated and triple distilled, together with an eclectic selection of casks from around the world, our whisky makers are able to explore the full flavour possibilities of single malt, creating some of the richest, most multi-layered whiskies in Speyside.
We welcome Charlotte at Grain & Glass and look forward to listening to her stories of Benriach.
The fun doesn’t stop there though. In parallel, we’ll also be tasting a creative bites prepared by Birmingham food legend Carl Finn.

Event Details
Extolling a hundred exclusive farms of Irish-grown barley, Waterford search for natural flavours via three paths: their Single Farm Origins pursue the individualism of terroir-derived flavour; their Arcadian Series expresses the intensity of flavour from alternative philosophies and long-forgotten varieties; whilst their Cuvées revel in the ultimate sophistication, where the whole is greater than the sum.
We welcome one of the first distillers Ian O’Brien, who worked with Waterford from the beginning and look forward to listening to his stories of this unique Irish distillery.

Event Details
The Adelphi Distillery is actually one of the lost distilleries of Scotland, which operated from 1826 to around 1907. In 1880, the distillery was acquired by Messrs A. Walker and Co and it was Walker’s great-grandson, Jamie Walker, who restored the Adelphi name in 1993, this time not as a distillery but as an independent bottler.
Adelphi had wanted to build a new distillery in honour of their namesake for many years, having already established their reputation firmly as an independent bottler of quality malt whiskies since 1993.
In 2007 the first plans for realising the distillery dream were undertaken and planning permission was granted in 2012. Ardnamurchan Distillery broke ground in 2013, and the distillery was officially opened and began production in July 2014.
We are welcome Greame Mackay to Grain & Glass and look forward to listening to his stories of Adelphi.

Event Details
Sugarcane and cocoa are both grown in the same tropical climate and therefore have many similarities. Rum has plenty of intense notes that pair wonderfully with the creamy, woody and fruity (and so many more) flavours of chocolate.
We excited to have one of the best rum specialists Dean MacGregor at Grain & Glass! Dean will talk about different stages of production, styles of rum, and the versatility of rum as an alcoholic beverage.
We will be pairing rum with luxury hand made chocolates from local chocolatier Kneals Chocolates.
